    Robert Randall

    General Manager: Data Centre Infrastructure

    The ISF ICT Infrastructure team would like to welcome Robert Randall to the ISF Group. Rob will be taking up the position of General Manager: Data Centre Infrastructure effective 1st August 2021. 

    As General Manager for the Data Center Infrastructure Business, Rob will be responsible for developing the Integrated Modular Data Centre Business, as well as expansion/fit outs of existing Data Center facilities. Rob will also be driving our alternate energy solution offerings.

    Rob has a National Diploma in Communication & Industrial Electronics. (Bloemfontein & Pretoria).

    Before joining ISF ICT Infrastructure, Rob worked for Emerson/ Vertiv for 12 years in various roles, as Key Account Manager, Global Account Manager, Sales Director and Distributor Manager. From 1990 to 2008 he also worked for Wonderware, ABB, Conlog & Telkom and has experience in Automation Software, Pre-Paid Metering, Common Vending Systems, Demand Management and Communication Network Planning.

    Cor van Nugteren

    General Manager: Thermal

    As General Manager for the Thermal Business, Cor is responsible for developing the Thermal Business. Cor has a National Dip from VUT in Electronic Engineering. Before joining ISF ICT Infrastructure, Cor worked for Emerson / Vertiv for 26 years in various roles, as Technician, R&D Engineer and Customer Service Manager.

     In 2006 Cor changed to focus more on Mechanical / Thermal within the ICT space. He has since has fulfilled the positions of LOB Manger and Key Account Manager at Vertiv.

     

    Ruth Letsogo

    Group Bids Manager

    Ruth holds a qualification in Project Management and currently studying Higher Certificate in Marketing with MANCOSA. She joined the ISF Group in May 2018, as a Bid Manager. She started out her career as a Bid Administrator for Basil Read Group in 2009. She further gained her experience of just over 11 years by working for reputable companies such as Group Five Limited, Medtronic South Africa and Umso Construction. Ruth is also a member of the APMP South Africa (Association for Proposal Management Professionals SA) and have CCS 201 (Construction Estimating and Valuations).

    Her day to day job is overseeing a smooth running of tender processes for all divisions of the Group i.e Construction, Civil Engineering, ICT and Power Systems.

    Mandisa Buthelezi

    Business Development Manager – Private Sector

    Mandisa holds a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management from the Durban University of Technology and an Advanced Project Management Certificate from the University of Cape Town. She started her career at Grinaker-LTA as a Site Engineer. She has worked on various building and civil engineering projects such as Gateway Hotel, Nedbank Ridgeside Offices Phase I, Bridge City Rail Link, PepsiCo Simba Factory Refurbishment and Toyota Distribution Centre. She has also worked in the filmmaking industry on various television commercial and brand productions in the Art Department team and as a Production Manager for brands such as Discovery SA, Kellogg’s, South Africa Breweries and Pick ‘n Pay.

    Mandisa joined the ISF Group team as a Business Development Manager for Private Sector in the year 2020, overseeing business development and marketing activities for the Group.

    Ntobeko Duma

    Business Development Manager – Public Sector

    Ntobeko joined the ISF Group in 2015 as its Business Development Manager. Graduating from the Durban Institute of Technology, he boasts more than a decade in the field. Ntobeko has worked on a number of projects across the board, including the uMlalazi Bridge, the Concrete Supply Lift II Batch Plant, Emergency works on Motor no.1 Geelhoutboom Pump Station, Construction of 1,5 Mil Reservoir, Inlet Chamber and 100KL Reservoir, Construction of 6 number reinforced concrete reservoirs and Maritime School Civil Engineering contractor upgrades, amongst many more. He also holds qualifications in project management and sales and marketing.

    Buhle Mzolo

    Senior Contracts Manager

    Buhle is a graduate from the University of Johannesburg, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Starting out his career at WBHO Construction (Pty) Ltd, Mzolo boasts more than 10 years’ experience in the field. Projects Buhle has worked on include Norwood Shopping Mall Phase II, The Glen Shopping Centre, The Zone Rosebank Phase II, UNISA Florida Laboratory, Menlyn Maine Sage VIP Epsilon Building, Nigel Bulk Water Supply Pipe Upgrade, Nampak Glass – AIS machine Installation, Cresta Generator Installation, Geelhoutboom Pump Station Emergency Works, SABN MV Upgrade and Alternative Power Solution. He started his career with ISF as a project manager in 2013. Buhle is affiliated to the South African Council for Project and Construction Project Managers (SACPCMP). Buhle has also completed a business and management programme at GIBS Business School.

    Zama Wanda

    Finance and HR Manager

    Zama is a BCom Finance graduate from the University of South Africa. She also holds a Diploma in Financial Accounting and a Diploma in Advanced Bookkeeping and Computer based accounting. Zama started out her professional career with the Department of Agriculture and Environmental affairs in 2002. Zama joined the ISF team in 2012, where she is currently appointed as the Finance and HR Manager.

    Robert Murphy

    Group Financial Manager

    Robert Murphy is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with over 18 years financial management experience. He graduated from the University of South Africa with a BCompt (Hons) degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Auditing. Robert started out his professional career with SFP in 2000 and has now joined the ISF executive team in 2020, where he is the newly appointed Group Finance Manager.

    Gavin Katzenstein

    Sales and Operations Director - ISF ICT Infrastructure.

    Gavin is the Sales and Operations Director for ISF ICT Infrastructure (PTY) Ltd. As such, he is responsible for ensuring the strategic trajectory and the various strategic initiatives underpinning its execution. He is also responsible for coordinating of operations across the business. Before joining ISF ICT Infrastructure, Gavin worked for Siemens Ltd South Africa in various divisions over 16 years and was recently before joining ISF ICT Infrastructure was Service Operations Manager Africa & ME for Vertiv (Emerson Network Power). Gavin hold a N/D Electrical Engineering, SBL Practical Project Management – UNISA Graduate School of Business Leadership and Strategic Management – Graduate Institute of Management and Technology (Henley).

    Malusi Mngxathi

    Head: Group Business Development

    Malusi has 22 years of sales and marketing experience has worked at the senior management level for both local and multinational companies. The last 6 years were spent in the construction sector as a Business Development Director, responsible for business development strategy formulation and implementation, overall business development function including the setting of targets, market intelligence, client relationship development, and management, as well as brand management activities.

    Owen Smit

    Managing Director – ISF SFP

    Owen Smit is the Co-founder of SFP (Pty) Ltd in April 1997 providing integrated access control, fire detection & suppression.
    As a member of South African Qualification & Certification Committee (SAQCC) Fire DGS14/0058, Owen has 32 years’ experience in the industry. Owen is responsible for the strategic decision-making involved with sales, negotiating of new business, tendering and overall operational issues. He has extensive experience in the design, product application and project implementation.

    Zunaid Varyawa

    Managing Director – ISF Civil Engineering

    Zunaid holds a National Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying from the Durban Institute of Technology. He joined the ISF Group in May 2014, as a managing director. He started out his career as a project manager in Quantity Surveying in 2006. Some of the major projects Zunaid has worked on include Lift II Underground Batch Plant at the Palabora Mining Company, the Construction of the Umlalazi River Bridge No.3782 on the Umlalazi RRTF area, the Construction of the Mhlatuze River Bridge No.3532 on Main Road 223 at km 3.16 in the Nkandla RRTF area, the Construction of the Mokgothane Bridge, the  Rehabilitation of Osborn Bridge and Gravel Road, the Mthonjaneni SSA 4 – Construction of 4 Reservoirs, and the N12 Tom Jones to Daveyton GFIP Package (Bridges and Canals), amongst several others.

    Sbu Mbongwe

    Managing Director – ISF Power Systems

    Percival Mbongwe is a vibrant executive with 20+ years of operational experience in the Resource Infrastructure, Power and Strategic Business Development. Furthermore, PM is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Management and Proposal Coordination. Has performed various technical and administrative roles on large projects both on government and private sector projects (both on-site and in the engineering office). Has experience in Project Managing small to medium to large sized resource infrastructure. He has held positions ranging from Site Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Director to Power Projects. He is familiar with numerous forms of contract including GCC, JBCC, FIDIC and NEC. All these contracts come with their unique requirements. Experienced in project engineering, project management, proposal coordination, mechanical engineering, vendor/sub-contractor management, workshare coordination, change management, lessons learned coordination, field engineering/construction support. Sbu has completed his MBA, Mechanical Engineering Degree, Business Management Diploma, Production Management Diploma, Project Management Diploma.

    Nonhlanhla Funeka

    Managing Director - ISF ICT Infrastructure

    A teacher by profession, Nonhlanhla’s role as a director at ISF Group has seen her nurture and group the team to take up the reigns as the leading civil and construction engineering company in the country. Nonhlanhla started her career as a bookkeeper for an audit firm where she worked for seven years before joining ISF Construction Services as a Finance and HR Manager from 2007 to 2018. She is currently the Managing Director for ISF ICT Infrastructure.

    Ahmed Kathrada

    Managing Director - ISF Construction

    Ahmed is an Honours graduate with a BSc in Engineering and holds a graduate diploma in Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. He is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer and the South African Council for Project and Construction Project Managers (SACPCMP) as a Professional Construction Project manager. With roughly two decades worth of experience in the field, Ahmed boasts a solid grasp of construction management concepts and solutions. He started out his career in 2001 as a site engineer with Grinaker/LTA. He joined the ISF group in 2014, where he fulfils the role of Managing Director. Ahmed has worked on a number of notable projects, including the N3 Toll Road from Heidelberg to Cedera, the Upgrade and rehabilitation of the N17 National Freeway, the Gautrain, the MTN Trigeneration Plants and the SABN Back Up Power projects. The delivery of high-quality projects, on time and within budget is what drives Ahmed’s focus.

    Ian Sandile Funeka

    CEO

    Ian is a business leader, with over 23 years’ experience in the field of engineering and construction. Starting his career as a site agent for Protekon (Transnet) and later fulfilling several roles, including that of a Senior Power Technician at Eskom, Engineering Manager at MTN SA and Senior Project Manager in Capital Projects for Standard Bank. Ian’s business and technical acumen has developed through the years making him a respected business leader and industry expert. Ian’s vision and commitment to South Africa’s nation building is realised through the growth of the ISF Group of Companies. Ian acknowledges that the growth of the company and South Africa’s economy as a whole is only possible by providing inclusive opportunities for the youth and women.
